  • Fox: 240 M
    ESPN: 190 M
    CBS: 10 M
    BTN: 175 M (I think..)

That's basically $44M for each school. I believe Texas would max out at $35M.

It also means we'll be starting the next round of contract negotiations instead of ending them.

The SEC, Big 12, ACC and PAC are all locked in until 2024-25 with their current deals. We'll be renegotiating in 2021.

      • Early season tv schedule is set for those who missed it. First weekend is another year of "I'm so happy football is back I'll watch anything"

The Big Ten early season 2016 football TV schedule has been set, and it features over 30 games slated for broadcast.

        • Some have LSU winning it all, game is at Lambeau. SEC power traveling north? Should be interesting seeing how the Badgers come out of the gates.

          • Projections have Wisconsin as a 7-win team, Badgers should be happy keeping that game close.

            • Early line LSU - 4.5

              • Sounds like easy money to me.

                • The "Vegas Insider" consensus has LSU -9' which is still easy money. However, it's not as third-mortgage locky as Michigan -41'. I think M's defense may score 6 TDs by themselves.

                  Others of note:

                  Notre Dame 4 @ Texas
                  Georgia 3 vs UNC (Atlanta)
                  Alabama 10 vs USC (Arlington)
Oklahoma 10 @ Houston (NRG Stadium)
                  Clemson 7' @ Auburn
                  West Virginia 11' vs Missouri
Ohio State 27 vs Bowling Green
                  aTm 1 vs UCLA (Glendale)
FSU 6 vs Ole Miss (Orlando)

                  Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

                  • Wait -- are we really favored by 41 points in the opener?

                    • Well, 41 and a half! You guys added the best DC in the country to the most talented defense in the country and you have the best QB coach in the country working with at least 2 sublimely talented QBs.

So I assume your surprise is that it's only 41' when sharps around the nation know it should be in the high 50s.

                      • I'm really liking these inter-conference games at NFL venues. Kinda has a bowl game feel to start the season and several of them will have playoff implications. If Houston gets past OU, for example, they are gonna stomp their feet and scream until they're in the CFP.

                        • Further down the road:

Ohio State is +6' @ Oklahoma and -5 vs Michigan.

                          • I think I'd take Hawaii in the first game with the 41.5 points.

Michigan historically starts out slow. Or, have we forgotten App State?

On the "good" side, I think I could see Michigan winning something like 35-10, .. and on the "bad" side, maybe eeking out a 28-17 win .. or such.

                            • I'd rather have home and home games instead of the NFL venues. The college atmosphere feels neutered.
