  • I'm a bit surprised at that. I thought Iowa would be a tougher match for Minny.

Jerry Kill is a fine football coach. He's going to have Minnesota in B1G CCG contention within the next two years.

          • Welp...Rutgers and Penn State became bowl eligible today. Brings total bowl teams up to 9. If Michigan can beat Maryland you'd make 10. And with Northwestern's stunning win, if they beat Purdue and Illinois, they might win a bid too.

            • I really like Pat Fitzgerald. He has produced some monumental wins there at NW with average talent. His teams are just inconsistent and that's what you get when the talent level is not high enough across the board.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Hoke is about to sink to Rodriguez lows by repeating RR's bowl-less season in his first year at M.

                M is not going bowling.

                • To say NW has average talent is a huge compliment, they have Purdue level talent and he wins 7-8 games a year.

                    • Illinois' win over Penn State means either they or Northwestern will be the 10th bowl eligible team next week.

Michigan technically could be #11 with a victory over THE Ohio State University. And given what I saw today, that seems pretty likely.

                        • Hoke's road record--Hoke's record against top ranked teams. Hoke's chance of winning on Saturday fits the definition of insanity. trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Pinestripe for Nebraska seems the most likely... Not a lot of alumni in that area of the country. Texas, Az and California are better locations for Nebraska.
