The Pac12 deserves better bowls...but the bowls are businesses first. So many bowl games are located in the Southeast or Texas, and those games have much closer alternatives to inviting Pac12 teams. So they get stuck out west playing Mountain West teams in half their bowl games.

EDIT: To this point, Oregon probably deserved to be in the Sugar Bowl more than Oklahoma did, but the Sugar Bowl people knew Oklahoma would bring fans and Oregon probably wouldn't.

That said, it's great to see OU humble the Tide

The Spin: Alabama wasn't motivated. Alabama was disappointed and insulted by their lowly bowl opponent. Alabama only lost because they couldn't take this team seriously. Oklahoma had a lot more to play for and for Alabama football games are meaningless unless there's a national title on the line. They have much bigger ambitions and expectations than winning a pathetic bowl game. Oklahoma is to be pitied for the shockingly low standards they set for their program

The spin on NU's win over UGA was that UGA was not motivated...missing their senior QB...injuries...rainy field...turnovers....it's never the SEC teams fault...they never lose a game in reality...
