  • Sorry to keep posting but FWIW, other programs do deal with this too. Consider Alabama's home slate this year:

    Colorado State
    Ole Miss
    Georgia State
    Arkansas
    Tennessee
    LSU
    Chattanooga

You might be able to pitch an argument for Tennessee on the basis of history but that's only a marquee game if you ignore what they've actually been for the past 7-8 years

    • That's actually an excellent home schedule for Michigan in 2015. Oregon State and BYU have a "cool" factor to them even though they aren't great programs.

      • Yeah. The other OOC game is at Utah. No really, really big names but that's a highly unusual all-western schedule. Intriguing in its own way.

        • That's about as good as it gets these days. I like to at least see AQ teams on the schedule rather than the dregs of the MAC.

          • DB has tried to schedule the Pac 12/MWC quite a bit; Oregon State, BYU, Utah, Colorado, UNLV, Air Force & Hawaii; only Utah required M to take a return trip... UCLA in '22/'23..

Neutral site game against Florida in '17, series against Arkansas ('18/'19), VT ('20/'21) along with Cincy, UCF mixed in.

            • I wish I could find someone to buy my season tickets. That way I could retain the renewal rights and simply buy tix outside the stadium for $20 ea for each pathetic home game.

              • I would consider buying your tickets Jon, if they weren't so doggone expensive .. :-)

                  • What's the word on Bullough's suspension? The radio guys seem to think he must have done something seriously bad.

                    • Not sure what it was this time around, but he was suspended earlier in his career for getting drunk/wild partying.

Sucks for him because this would have been his final collegiate game.

Some NFL team will take a chance on him, although now, he'll have questions to answer.

                        • I'm going with he's a huge fucking douchebag. I hope Stanford runs it down Sparty's throat right where Bullough should have been.

                          • Minnesota looked like ass for a half, came back for the lead, then gagged it away on a terrible special teams play.

                            • Kill's run out the clock play calling on the Gopher's last possession didn't help either.

Where as Syracuse was bringing the house - high risk high reward - to stop the drive and did.

I'm a huge hater of lay back and let then try to make a play defense and it's something that permeates B1G football. That B1G programs get that sort of thing jammed up their asses by more aggressive and risk oriented coaches outside the conference might help stop that sort of thing but I doubt it.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
