Informed? Do enlighten me, poodle, as to what was inaccurate in my post. I wasn't stating an opinion, but rather facts.

It's comical that you (even the blind homer you are) have the cajones to suggest that osu is on par (or even close) to FSU, or that their schedules are even remotely close.

One top 25 opponent, at home, along with a MAC-level slate of all other B1G teams (sans sparty to this point)?

    Laughable.

    • I'll bold the word for the Ohioans. The Badgers are currently playing the best of any team in the conference. Currently. They have improved the most in all phases.

      I was wrong. Schmucks gave up 35 points...not 30. Wisky wouldn't give up 35!

Hey Paul, care to explain why you count Maryland and Miami as ranked opponents for Florida State but do not count Northwestern as a ranked opponent for OSU?

        • You wanna count NW as a ranked opponent? Feel free if you like.

I took them out of the equation since, oh, they're 0 and fucking 6 in the Little Ten.

I included Maryland, since even though they're not currently ranked, you should be able to put some stock into a 63-0 thrashing against a borderline Top 25 team (vs. a 7-point escape).

And who's to say the reason for Miami tanking wasn't because they were raped by the Seminoles?

How bout answering the question about your team of the century? One Top 25 opponent, worst BCS conference in CFB, Cal, Florida A&M?

          Impressive.

And how do you argue away FSU's 5+ TD win, on the road, against a current Top 10 team?

            • Miami is plainly not a very good team. I've seen parts of 5 different games of theirs. They sucked against both Wake and UNC and were lucky to pull out wins and that was before the FSU game. Continuing to heap praise on FSU for beating them and to consider Miami a top 10 victory is asinine.

Sagarin has FSU's strength of schedule only marginally above OSU and that's mainly thanks to Clemson. Otherwise their schedule has simply been NOT THAT STRONG.

Miami is the second best team they've played and they aren't as good as Wisconsin or Sparty. Whatever mediocre team FSU plays in the ACC title game won't be as good as Wisconsin or Sparty either. If you want to argue the eyeball test to put FSU in ahead of us that's fine, I won't argue that. But you and others who think their schedule has been significantly better are full of shit.

              • #1, the eye ball test isn't even needed for FSU vs. OSU, let's get that outta the way. It will never be needed unless they choke in the ACC championship game. #2, their SOS won't fall below OSUs. #3, I'd worry about Baylor passing OSU more than FSU falling behind OSU.

You need help and that is all. Don't know what all the hostility is all about.

FSU's remaining schedule is Idaho (1-9), Florida (4-6), and at least a 3-loss team in the ACC title game. It might turn out to be Duke.

OSU is laying Indiana (4-6), Michigan (7-3), and probably Sparty (9-1).

I DO think the SOS gap could narrow if Wisconsin, Michigan, and MSU keep winning.

I have a problem with people, like Paul, that say FSU has beaten three top 25 teams. Wrong. They've beaten one. Miami and Maryland were never genuine top 25 teams. I take that back, Miami may be borderline. But it's nothing but anti-B1G bias to believe that Maryland is a cusp Top 25 team but Iowa and Penn State are not.

                      • Both the ACC & B10 are awful outside of Ohio & FSU, FSU has been a lil' more dominant.

                        • 51-14. That's the difference between OSU and FSU, more or less. No complaints.

If OSU lays one an 11-1 Sparty (and Clemson loses to SC), then I might start singing a different tune.

I do think the B10 is treated differently. The AP jumped Baylor over OSU after Baylor beat a shitass TT team 63-34 and OSU beat a shitass Illinois team 60-35. Don't quite see that. Honestly, Illinois is no worse than 6-5 against that TT's schedule.

I also think Wisky and MSU are two of the most underrated teams in the country. If OSU had Wisky at home this weekend, then Wisky would be top 10 and everyone would be talking about how OSU can make its case. Instead, they played Wisky when no one thought they were any good at all (and most still undervalue them).

I also think Alabama has played as soft an SEC schedule as you can play. aTm is god-awful on defense. And they caught LSU at home. Auburn? As much as I'd like to believe, whatever. They played dogshit from East.

But, I'm fine with where OSU is. They needed to beat everyone by 50 and with the injuries/suspensions they had that was never going to happen. Again, I'd love to see Baylor play 3 games w/o Bryce Petty and Seastrunk. Or FSU without Winston.

All that OSU can do is rail IU, rail M and win the B10 on a 25-game win streak.

                          • Penn State fires/dismisses two assistants: Ron Vanderlinden (LB) and Charlie Fisher (QB). Vanderlinden has a pretty good reputation and was one of the last Paterno holdovers so that one is raising some eyebrows

                            • I believe it's now up to 34 years since an Ohio State coach won B10 COY. Tressel never did. UFM hasn't lost a single game and he hasn't. The best way to win CoY is to have a down year. Hoke seems well-positioned for 2014.

Meanwhile, Borland over Shazier for DPoY? No.

Big 10 COY has basically become the "We thought you'd suck and oops we were wrong" award.
