It saddens me that mo' money for declining quality of presentation is now the driving theme ........ It's like Chuck E. Cheese at 110 decibels now. Lots of clueless noise with no ebb and flow to it. I think some people just have had it with that and are staying home."
It's only going to get worse.

The arms race between the major FBS programs and even among some of the also rans seems to be driving the value of entertainment over substantive CFB as most of us once knew it.

I think it's bull shit that ADs say we're selling to what the target audience wants. They don't know what they want any more than Fast Food eaters or Cigarette smokers do.

IMO, people like Brandon have a duty to preserve elements of the game traditionally important to it ...... Marching bands, a focus on the football game instead of a drone of features on the giant score boards and rawk music. It could happen and it could sell tickets to a group of loyalists to football the way it should be presented.

I'd like to see some numbers, marketing surveys on that. I could be way off but I don't think I am. It seems to me you want to court a large loyal base of consumers instead of a small number high rollers that have little interest in the game and will turn off contributions, give up their suites and abandon the team when their declining profits demand it.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

          • Seeing a good example of a power team with a good defense bludgeoning its way to a lead against a spread team that plays exciting offense but lacks power and defense.

            • More bludgeoning.

              Wisconsin is just pounding NfW.

I think the badgers look better under Anderson than they did under Bilema. Not sure anyone is sad he is gone. Also, if osu plays Wisky at home, they lose.

              Wisconsin is good.

Yes, Wisky looking like an improved team so far, and NU not. Fitz has no answers yet on either side of the ball to what the bagers are doing.

                • Northwestern looks like a team that hasn't gotten over last week. I don't know that there was a worse draw for the Wildcats the week after Ohio State than a road game at Wisconsin.

                              • Indiana's defense stinks so I think some of Sparty's offensive awakening today is due to that. If they've legitimately improved though they will be a dangerous team because they arguably have the best defense in the league. Their next two games are Purdue & Illinois too.
