Thanks to scheduling, the last thing we should be concerned about right now is MSU. That game is nearly 6 weeks away. A lot of stuff can happen (good and bad) between now and then.

Their challenge will be to move the sticks. Ours won't be that. We can get chunks of yardage on 10-15 snaps against them. It's the turnovers. This is a game in which smart playaction could and should pay off. Don't let him throw too much. Call some sneaks. Tolerate a low YPC running game, and don't try to win it on every drive. Then hit them up at the right time with that playaction.Last edited by hack; September 22, 2013, 01:55 PM.

sounds like Delaney is looking at Ou/Ku for the next expansion. UNL is definitely on board.. but there will need to be some convincing of the University Presidents to accept OUGrammar... The difference between feeling your nuts and feeling you're nuts.

OU has a plan in place to achieve AAU membership, I think. Akin to FSU.
Those would be very good additions for UNL and the conference. However, you know that if OU and KU come, Texas is on its way.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Kansas is 'fringe' academically on most metrics, other than AAU they are behind Nebraska. Oklahoma is far behind both...
They'll have to really sell 'athletics' for Oklahoma & Kansas which support for Kansas was a tough sell last time Kansas came on topic for realignment. One football king, one basketball king both with very healthy athletic departments; athletics I think they certainly 'pass' which leaves the debate only about academics, population/markets & demographics. It'd bounce Purdue to the East, which would help 'balance' the East-West balance leaving all Central time zone teams in the West, Eastern time zone in the East. I'd personally make a run at the Virginia & North Carolina markets, more markets, population & recruits in that area not to mention no question about their academics.

Like talent said, Texas is the gold mine and getting any schools that help lures the Longhorns would be huge. I think Oklahoma though is the one following Texas wherever they go, not vice versa.
Texas is very much opposed to the SEC, even before A&M left to go there. Big XII supposedly is very much in debate over whether adding two schools to get to 12, Division 4 a CCG/12-teams is a requirement. If they were to add two it would be among Cincy, UCF, USF, Houston, etc.

Yeah, the B12's problem is that they can't get to a CCG w/o total shit additions. In retrospect, they really should have moved on Louisville. That's not a great addition, but it's far better than what's out there, and Louisville was begging for an invite.
If they added OU and KU and stopped at 16, I'd consider that a win. However, those two schools really don't seem like "stopping" schools. I can't see OU and KU w/o Texas. Can't see it. If those 3 were on-board, then they'd push for 20. Meh.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
