To be fair, they were but a few key defensive stops from the Rose Bowl last season.

I would echo Ent's thoughts on the Alamo Bowl. Been down there twice...those folks in San Antonio had their shit squared away when they drew it up, and its not easy for me to compliment Texans. You could spend three days in the Riverwalk area and not run out of things to do, and never once need a cab or take a train anywhere. Alamodome is like a four-block walk through a nice park from the east end of the Riverwalk.
Best setup I've seen anywhere, logistically speaking.

I'd agree with that. Been to one In San Antonia v. probably more than half dozen in Florida between the Citrus, Gator and Outback.
None of the later are good venues all things considered. OK but they pale in comparison to the Alamo.
I will not at all miss any of them if Delaney does the right thing and cans most of them. Its not even a conveniet drive from ATL to Orlando or Tampa, OK to JAX. So, I fly and might as well fly to San Antonio. Doubt the airfares are much different.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

The B10/Pac 12 bowl they want won't happen till the next bowl cycle and it'll likely be in the proposed (official yet?) new stadium in San Francisco. That would give the B10 and Pac 12 three bowls together, which they'd both like; one in SD, one in LA, one in SF...
While the site is the same it is against the ACC (different conference) so the B1G would have a couple bowls against them.2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

Well, for right now, even though the B1G isn't the "sexy" CFB league that the sports media drools over, its the league that puts the most butts in seats during the regular season, and in bowl games. The various bowl committees know that, and want as many B1G participants as possible. Delany is still in a position of strength where as conference spokesman, he can set the conditions to the bowl committees, and they'll listen.I don't always roll a joint, but when I do, its usually my ankle
