B1G could have a very different bowl lineup soon....Holiday Bowl would be a nice add

It'll keep the Rose, Citrus and have a chance at the Orange (when a team qualifies)...
All signs point to the Holiday and Pinstripe being added and the Pizza Bowl being kept...
One of the Gator or Outback Bowl is being left for the ACC, most likely the former...
B10 wants to keep at least 1 of its Texas Bowls against the Big XII...
Rumored B10/Pac 12 Bowl they'd like to co-own won't be ready till the next bowl cycle as they'd like to use SF's stadium that isn't built yet.

So the B1G lineup could be something like this?
1) Rose
2) Citrus
3) Outback
4) Alamo
5) Pinstripe
6) Holiday
7) Pizza Bowl
8) B1G/PAC 12 TBD bowl?2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

My bad...I was thinking the Heart of Dallas
So it would probably be something like this
1) Rose/Extra BCS game
2) Capital One (SEC)
3) Outback (SEC)
4) Holiday (Pac 12)
5) Pinstripe (Big 12?)
6) Russell Athletic (ACC)
7) Heart of Dallas (Big 12)
8) Pizza Bowl (MAC)
9) Pac 12/B1G TBD Bowl
That would be a pretty diverse lineup.2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

Whitley's second list looks pretty accurate.
*1. Rose (vs Pac 12)
*2. Citrus aka Capital One (vs SEC; upgraded to Orange if team qualifies but B10 loses Citrus to ACC if they do qualify)
*3. Hall-of-Fame aka Outback (vs SEC)
*4. Holiday (vs Pac 12)
*5a. Texas and/or Dallas Bowl...
*7. Copper Bowl aka Buffalo Wild Wings in Arizona vs Big XII
*8. Pinstripe vs ACC
*9. Pizza Bowl vs MAC
I think the #5-#7 spots are where we'll see surprises; they'll keep at least one game in Texas and maybe two. If the pay is good enough, someone else could take a spot. This goes for any bowl really but the Pinstripe match-up with the ACC could move-up in the pecking order if the pay-out moves up though I still see that bowl as a tough one to charge a premium for...
Can't see the B10 adding the Tangerine Bowl (Rusell Athletic), not if they keep the Citrus; same site but a week apart. B10 wants more variety in its bowl sites...
The B10/Pac 12 bowl they want won't happen till the next bowl cycle and it'll likely be in the proposed (official yet?) new stadium in San Francisco. That would give the B10 and Pac 12 three bowls together, which they'd both like; one in SD, one in LA, one in SF...Last edited by WM Wolverine; May 3, 2013, 07:11 AM.

In E's defense ......
Have you seen Neb's opponents in the West?Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
