  • Michigan wins NCAA Men's Gymnastics Title!

    Go Blue!

    Comment

    • Flagship,

Michigan has appeared in the 2012-13 NCAA championship game in b-ball, losing to Louisville.

Michigan has won the 20012-13 NCAA championship in swimming and diving.

Michigan has won the 2012-13 NCAA championship in men's gymnastics.

osu has failed to distinguish itself in any 2012--13 sport for which they were eligible to compete. Yeah, they went 12-0 in football. BFD. They were ineligible for the post season. No one besides their ring leading football coach gives a shit.

osu = a fraud exposed and fading fast.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

      • Careful, Jeff.

You're getting close to the m-word territory.

He'll unleash it on you any time now ...

        • We're just lucky that the sports M excels at are recognized and have championships, like Swimming & Diving. There's no recognition for excellence for Inking & Cheating, but if there were OSU would totally dominate.

          • True. But congrats on your men's gymnastics title. It's something to take a bit of pride in when you can't win in football and finish 5th in the league in hoops. A nice fall-back. OP in particular gets a lot of enjoyment out of watching the Wolverine pommel horse riders compete

            • How'd you guys do in the tournament? Certainly I know Talent disdains it because it's only there to determine a champion.

              • Well, its two championships we got, and you didn't. And the NC Final is one I think even most schmucknuts would have preferred to play in, rather than the B1G title game.

Will Buchanan cry like a bitch, too? Doubt it.

Ohio State was 1 of 67 teams teams that didn't win. As you correctly note, the tournament determines a champion and 67 teams that aren't. How'd M do? BTW, get any hardware this season in hoops?

                      • That was silly of you to congratulate us several weeks ago for our result if it was indistinct from yours.

                        • Erroneous logic aside, courtesy is never silly. It's sometimes facetious, but never silly. Kind sir.

                            • Yup, got the regional title. Kinda like claiming the leaders division title in B1G, but much better.

                              • Brian Cook, with an excellent take on conference expansion

People in charge of things are just in charge of them

Let us pour out some gasoline for our dead homie division names, and light them on fire. Burning is the most terrible way to die, but as the wisps arise from the charred notions that were "Legends" and "Leaders" it seems far too kind. If that debacle doesn't prove to you once and for all that our tendency to worship any bushy-eyebrowed dim bulb who manages to ascend to the talky bit of any enterprise is destructive, I don't know what to tell you.

Whenever someone cocks their eyebrow at you and condescendingly says that you don't have the vast amounts of information and knowledge they do about complicated geopolitical processes like conference realignment, just remember that those guys are the ones who made the conference a national laughingstock for years. They did this by doing something that was such a bad idea from the start that they promised they'd reconsider after literally every person who heard it laughed in their face.

Therefore their projections that media markets are still going to matter in 10 years

Pay special attention to that last line, and never discount the possiblity that the conference is being run by utter morons.
