I think that when you take into account the TV ratings of Michigan vs Wisconsin instead of Michigan vs Air Force, the finances have got to favor playing more conference games too. I think that is probably always true for playing tough schedules, but revenue sharing keeps teams from trying to capture those numbers.

I wish we would be done with it already. Add the final two teams and bring on the 10 game conf schedule. Use the increased B10Network cash to offset the loss of the extra home game or two. Works for me. Downside is the nonconf slate (2 games) is guaranteed crap since we would only get teams willing to forego the return game.

I think that would be a good trade.

Teams like Michigan would still have 7 home dates and 5 of those would be against conference teams. Each team would be required to play 5 road games. Some teams are scheduling as many as 8 home games with only the minimum of 4 road (conference) games.
