I heard on the radio today that it was UNC and Kansas that were the next rumored targets.

FWIW: Maryland has the highest per capita income in the US (per household). NJ is # 3 (Alaska is # 2, but would be a hell of a roadtrip), Conn=4, DC=5 and Virginia=7. Best to pick off the mid-south states as long as we are ruling the world this afternoon. Ga Tech makes sense. No one has mentioned Pitt.
Demography is destiny. Michigan was # 1 in 1950 in household income and Ohio not far behind

There is zero way they're adding Kansas for a host of reasons.
I'd start preparing for Virginia and UNC. UNC can't leave right now. They need to wait for other dominoes to fall, but I think that's what will happen.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

NC ain't leaving till the ACC starts sinking...
Pods, really tough to do but I think it could be done. I don't like committing for M to play programs like Maryland or Iowa every year. I'd like pods to be based upon rivalries/regions with competitive balance mixed in... These teams you're going to play every year, so it's wise to make distance close as possible while keeping things fair...
Pod C is easy so I'll start there: Neb, Iowa, Minn & Wisky...
Pod D: PSU and uhh; I want to put all of Maryland, Rutgers, Virginia & NC together... One of these are going to end up elsewhere...
Pod A: Michigan, MSU; Indiana or Illinois schools or split them...
Pod B: OSU + Ind/Ill schools + 1 from D who wants to be here...

If true about Fox packaging the YES Network and the BTN to NYC basic cable, they'll certainly add more to the pot than their share...
NC is a huge add too, it's basketball makes up for mediocre football. Like Maryland/Rutgers, they've been an underachiever in football given their local talent.

The Big Double-Deuce, huh?
For football, I don't like that the east is a weaker division. Va Tech and (maybe) Penn State are the only traditionally (over the last 20 years) strong teams.
