  • Iowa might figure some things out by then (not likely) but I think M matches up well against them. M's defense should be able to shut them down pretty well and I expect more of the overly conservative, MSU game plan against Iowa. Plus it's at home.

    • Ent and Hoss are pretty damn cool here, but this Huskerlove by UM fans is embarrassing.

      • I'll have to take a closer look at the Huskers, the numbers they've put up are pretty impressive offensively but were those numbers against really awful competition? How good was there offense when they played a top 40 defense instead of a bottom 40?

        • Sorry, Hack.

I actually like Nebraska, and I'm glad they're in the B1G.

And, they're one of the winning-est CFB programs of all time. I believe that this Saturday, they could play their best game of the season. I don't think that's a stretch.

          • They could play their best game of the season, no doubt about it. Still -- bad blood should linger.

              • Agree with liney that Neb's underperformed thus far and is better then they've shown. Turnovers have really hurt them when they play a decent defense. If they don't lose the turnover battle, it'll be a game decided in the 4th quarter and those tend to favor the home teams.

                • If you get up big in Lincoln, don't put Joe Bausermann in. Friendly tip.

                    • 45-17 was awfully fun. That should be the baseline expectation for this year too.

                      • If I'm remembering right, the final was no indicative of how close the game was, some crazy Nebraska turnovers.

                          • 45-17 should have them awfully motivated. My expectations are pretty similar to liney's.

                            • I expect a close game. I hope we roll them, though.

                              • Nebraska looks to me like a sort of talented, but poorly coached team. I felt like I was watching Michigan c 2008 on Saturday against Northwestern. Can't catch a punt. Two blockers run into each other on 4th and 1 and the play gets stuffed. Some DB commits a stupid PF and gets into a shouting match on the sidelines with the head coach.

I dont' know that we are necessarily better, but I kinda like how we match up. We'll see if Nebraska's defense has really improved. If it's the shitty defense that showed up against OSU and UCLA, we'll win and it won't be close. Both teams have been really turnover prone and that makes this game pretty unpredictable.
