  • I really like Gholston, and Rush is good, but I'm not sure how they'll replace Worthy and, more importantly, how good they'll be at all inside. I actually like Illinois' front 4 about as much as MSU's. Not quite as good outside -- but close; and, IMO, better inside.

As for Ohio State, I love their tackles with Hankins a potential top 5 pick and Goebel and experienced, solid nose. The ends, I have to confess, I'm probably optimistic about. So, Simon is really good. But, I also really like Steve Miller, who has yet to prove himself. And they have really good depth, IMO. Bennett is going to be a really good tackle. Noah Spence is going to get time. And Nathan Williams is inching toward being healthy. If he can give them 25-30 snaps, they'll be in great shape.

Anyway, I think OSU gets the others in depth.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
    Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

    • MSU lost a lot from last year's team, but I don't have a sense of the conferencew overall.

      • MSU lost their trigger guy in Cousins. He was personally responsible for several of their wins last year.

        • And their best defender, and 2 best WRs as well, right? That's a lot to lose.

and this is why UNL won't beat MSU. Nebraska can't block an ISO to save its life. It's a coaching problem. So UNL has to run into MSU's strength.

                    • Definitely going to be a good defense, but they still lost their best defender and an anchor on the line.

                          • We'll beat them. Moo U will regret all of that dumbass crap after the whistle last year. It will be their version of the "little brother" comment.

                            • I wonder to what extent Ghloston will be a marked man. How far do they go with him?

                              • I think Michigan's players will keep a very close eye on young Mr. Gholston, and enjoy each time they get a chance to lay a block on him.

And, I think its safe to say that the zebras will be watching him, along with about 114,000 Michigan fans in the stands ...
