Sandusky is now on suicide watch
An inmate who identified himself only as "Josh" told The Daily that the last time Sandusky was in jail, he and other prisoners serenaded the former assistant coach with a famous like from Pink Floyd's "The Wall."
"At night, we were singing 'Hey, teacher, leave those kids alone,' " Josh said.

Yeah, Sandusky deserves everything he got and will get. I suspect he is not long for the world and the world will be better off without him.
On Paterno. The guilt killed him. Sure, he was sick but the will to live has a substantial effect on survival. He wanted to die. I wish him no ill will but monuments to his tenure should be torn down.
Grahm Spanner and other PSU administrators are going to do jail time over their perjury ...... as they should.
On PSU .... they need to and have an opportunity to rebuild their reputation as an outstanding football program, B10 member and outstanding University, but they have to absolutely abandon Joe Paterno and his legacy which is horribly stained by his inaction in the face of a moral mandate to do otherwise. There is a lesson here for osu. Holding on to jim tressel is a mistake. They'd do better by disowning the hypocrit. There is no amount of good he has done that overcomes his lies and the damage he did to osu's rep.
At times, I regret the self flaggelation that Michigan principals engaged in over the FAB Five. But in the end, it was the right thing to do. In the context of the serious lack of moral terpitude exemplified by our B10 compatriots in osu and PSU, M stands tall in taking its lumps and moving on.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. The only honorable way out was for the lot of them to eat bullets, either figuratively- or in Sandusky's case, literally. Instead they collectively chose to grab onto the doorframes while being hauled out to face justice, and in the process dragged Penn State through a public shitstorm that could have been avoided. The ego and cowardice at play stands in stark contrast to the undeserved support the Nittany Nation provides, and the supposed loyalty to the institution proclaimed by those at fault.
To engage in understatement, everything about the situation is hosed up.

Chicago Tribune - Source: SEC, Big 12 wanted playoff games outside bowl system
By Teddy Greenstein, Tribune reporter
As it turns out, the Big Ten was not the only league to compromise on terms of the four-team playoff that the BCS presidential oversight committee could approve formally Tuesday night.
The SEC and Big 12 both wanted the semifinals to be played outside the bowl system, according to a source from the BCS meetings.
Bidding out all three games -- the semifinals and championship -- would have maximized revenue but relegated bowl games, to use a basketball analogy, to NIT status.
The Big Ten wanted to protect the Rose Bowl, which likely will have a semifinal game every third year. The Pac-12 and ACC also didn't want to adopt a system that felt so corporate and could be easier to lead to an eight-team playoff.
The source was optimistic that the committee of university leaders, including Nebraska Chancellor Harvey Perlman, would approve the four-team seeded model and perhaps the formation of a 15-member selection committee at its meeting that is expected to conclude Tuesday night in Washington, D.C.
The length of the deal is expected to be 12 years, mirroring a Big Ten/Pac-12 extension with the Rose Bowl that could be announced by the end of the week.
Perhaps of most significance is that the Rose Bowl will lock in its coveted 4 p.m. Central time slot.
The expectation with the new playoff, set to begin in 2014, is that six bowls will form a rotation with two having semifinal games each year. The six will include the Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta with the new Champions Bowl, the Cotton and Capital One among those in contention for the other two spots.
The selection committee could play a role in creating matchups for several of the games. The Rose, meanwhile, would take the Big Ten and Pac-12 champions unless they're in the playoff.
The semifinal playoff games could take place Jan. 1 or in prime time Dec. 30 or Dec. 31, depending on which bowls are hosting.
The title game -- a.k.a the Super Bowl of college football -- would be played seven to 10 days later at a neutral site.Grammar... The difference between feeling your nuts and feeling you're nuts.
