if the NCAA doesn't do anything to level the playing field a bit
Devil's advocate here says you could use this to argue the NCAA should be doing something to help out the SEC with its hockey programs.
First of all they'd have to start up some hockey programs---my guess is that, at most SEC schools, hockey doesn't even exist as a club or intramural sport
The BIG is not asking for the NCAA to change the climate. Just change when baseball starts... Seems reasonable that an outdoor sport could be moved so there is a more level playing field. But instead the NCAA worries about optional textbooks.

What's wrong, anyway, with making textbooks optional? I highly doubt there's a textbook available for the Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse course offered at state.
Besides, if there were such a textbook, it would have to be mostly pictures, considering the literacy rate of most sparties
