I think the Big Ten's problems this year center on QB play. There's too little experience, and in some cases too little talent, at QB for most Big Ten teams to field consistent offenses. Ohio State and Michigan State certainly weren't completely outclassed the way Michigan and MSU were last year, and Nebraska had plenty of chances against South Carolina-- they just continued their strange trend of screwing up at the most inopportune moments.

I tend to be less critical of the B10's bowl record.
I think history shows the B10 always plays up and plays up considerably. Iowa and OU for example this season. That is a shit match-up for the B10.
I really don't worry about it that much. CFB is treading water right now. We're going to see some monumental changes in a decade or so.
