Jeremiah Smith is a very good player. I sort of loved that he said, on Wednesday, "play me man and find out" (more or less).

Should the B1G do away with the B1G championship game? How would they decide the B!G champion if they do away with it? Divisions? Pods?

I don't see championship games going away but it's becoming quite a convoluted mess with so many teams. Divisions makes the most sense but then you'd hardly play teams in the other division.

I don't think they're doing away with the CCG -- that's a big money maker. And with the expanded CFP it's no longer vital that they get the CCG "right".

I think you'll start to see a lot of guys sitting out, via coaches decision. 2024 Georgia is a perfect example. Texas and UGA were both heading to the CFP but Georgia loses their starting QB in the game and can only muster 10 points in their playoff loss.

Maybe. I mean, those games still mean SOMETHING. It's still pretty cool to win the B10 or SEC or whatever. And the seeding would definitely matter. Well, assuming the move to a rational seeding model.
