If you don't have anything else to do today, you can tune in to the Iowa Missu game. Here’s a quick look at the showdown. Music City Bowl - No. 20 Missouri vs. Iowa
Time/TV/location: 2:30 p.m. ET, ESPN, Nashville, Tenn.
Why watch: A pair of flagship institutions from bordering states should make for a compelling viewing experience with both programs wanting to put their best foot forward. Regrettably, a significant number of key contributors will be absent from both squads, including Missouri WR Luther Burden III and Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson who will be in draft preparation. The good news for the Tigers is QB Brady Cook should be available after being banged up for much of the season. He should also have top RB Nate Noel and WR Theo Wease Jr. in his arsenal. Iowa QB Brendan Sullivan looks set to start, but he must count on freshman RB Kamari Moulton to do the heavy lifting on the ground.
Why it could disappoint: If you like defense, well, you’re probably an Iowa fan so this game might appeal to you. But the fact is the Hawkeyes probably need to make this a slog in order to keep it close. That’s just the team’s identity, and such games often feature plenty of fourth-quarter drama. Getting there could be a tough watch, but we’ve already witnessed unusual events in these bowls, so embrace the chaos and enjoy the ride. Credit to Yahoo Sports
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
It's worth a look. Neither team has figured out how to play defense againt the other. For a predicted defensive slog this game isn't
14-14 early in the 2nd.

OSU has home games against Minnesota, Penn State, UCLA, and Rutgers (plus Texas season opener)
Road games at Washington, Illinois, Wisconsin, Purdue, and Michigan
So they get to avoid Oregon. I knew this would happen. Michigan had the toughest schedule in the nation this past year, and it appears the 2025 version is somewhat easier.
I'm ready for divisions again. Play the 8 teams in your division and two crossovers. The crossovers should be TBD, first crossing the best against the worst, then the best against the best. These 18-team conferences are just too unwieldy, and the schedules are uneven.
A classic Ferentz give away a win game with an assist from QB Sullivan. Iowa lead by 2 scores early 3rd quarter. Ferentz turtled with Iowa gaining 93 total yards in the 2nd half. Meanwhile the Tigers went ahead 27 - 24. With just under 4 minutes remaining, Ferentz punted on 4th and 1 at the 50. Iowa then held Missouri to a 3 and out with their punt going only 27y, putting Iowa at their own 46. On 1st down, Sullivan dropped back and took a sack for a 23y loss. Iowa made most of that up and faced a 4th and 1 just inside the 50. At a perfect time for some trickeration, Ferentz calls a predictable QB sneak into a 10 man front and got stuffed. Turnover on downs, game over. Mizzu runs out the clock winning 27-24. Geeze. He's an anachronism. The Iowa admin loves him anyway.

Yeah, I am too. There can be 2 TRUE East and West divisions, divided geographically. And both would be highly competitive divisions. But I'd still want the CCG to be in Indy. And those western teams need to play in the Midwest in November.
