  • Why did multiple assistant coaches at Michigan delete all their communications with Stallions?

Stallions & Weiss & Partridge & Moore and (soon) Minter did nothing wrong. Also, it's important that you understand they were all rogue actors. And that everybody does it.

And all of Moore's messages were later retrieved and given to the NCAA.

The other guys are no longer on the payroll.

        • Why are they no longer on the payroll? They did nothing wrong. They got fired for doing 75 in a 70?

            • Conor routinely bought very expensive tickets for his "friends", almost always around the 50-yard line, and he earned the extra money to do so by repairing vacuums in his neighborhood. No funds were provided by Michigan. Absolutely NOT!

                • The only person I’m aware of that got fired was Partridge, allegedly because he told people not to cooperate with the investigation.

Nobody is disputing that he had people sending him cell phone videos. We just don’t think the advantage gained rises to the insane level that rival fan bases do. Or even if it is technically against the rule as written. It certainly would violate the spirit of the rule.

And LMAO that we’re the only school doing this shit. Are we to believe SMU was the only school to pay players before it was legal, too? Of course not. Stalions was sloppy. Sloppy gets caught.

                    • He built a database of signal from the alleged video tapes from advanced scouting....in his words...thousands of signals...it was well beyond "75 in a 70"

                        • You haters here just don't seem to be getting some fundamental facts surrounding the belief that the M football program acted egregiously and outside the scouting rules defined by NCAA Bylaw 11.6. You're assuming the basis of the NOA is violations of Bylaw 11.6. I don't know for sure that it is. If we assume it is, there's enough factual information I've posted in this thread supporting the argument that the Michigan football program did not violate 11.6.

The real danger for M is the likelihood that the NCAA is being purposely vague, does not care what arguments of innocence M will present in it's response to the NOA and, along with the B10, has already concluded the U acted in an unsportsmanlike way and will hammer them for that. I've already stated in this thread that questions of due process arise if that's the COA that the NCAA decides or has already decided to take.

But continue with your folly that, IMO is wildly speculative, if you like. I'm done with posts on this subject until something solid comes out that presents more facts than are presently available that supports assertions that M did or did not violate 11.6 or any other NCAA Bylaw that pertains.

                              • So tuned in for some advance scouting of the Gophers playing UNC. First, FOX broadcast team sucks - no surprise there. Also both teams look unsurprisingly terrible. Sure, its early but what I'm seeking out of Mack Brown and PJ Fleck as far as preparation, is disappointing. I think I'll go to bed and find out who wins this shitfest tomorrow. If the several initial possessions of how this game is going to go, I'll pass. I've already seen enough commercials for several games.
