Well, Liney, I don't think this is right. So, please remove my name from the SEC forum. I will leave you in peace. At least for now. Perhaps detente can be achieved. And if M and Bama ever meet in a bowl or I get bored I will do a drive-by or two, but I will take enough of a leave that "my" thread should be mothballed.
I wish you the best.
The thread will stay, but your name will be removed at your request."in order to lead America you must love America"

I'm a guest here, and while I will have fun trash talking with you guys on a regular basis because we cheer for rival schools, what I know about you is that you guys love football, and we share that much in common. I like getting different perspectives, which is why I originally participated in forums with you guys, and is why I am back. I think it's overall important to have respect for each other even when we disagree. Snarky comments and cheap shots don't make for a fun forum. As a Buckeye fan, I fully expect to be on the receiving end of some fun trash talking. Believe me, I'll be dishing it out, as well. But if it gets to where we are just hurtling insults, what's the point?

You're seriously going to ban someone for telling you to suck a dick? Really Liney? I know I don't post on this side of the forum often but damn man... You're going to end up censoring the UM forum here into an echo chamber.
And seriously though, if that offends you, what the hell man? You realize, I hope, that that was not an actual suggestion to perform fellatio. Its common vernacular for acquiescing to someone repeatedly, or even 'kowtowing' if you will.
In short, I think this forum will lose a lot of the voices of reason that help keep the HARBAUGH!!! grounded if talent and AA go away. Just my 2 cents

Alabamalum is leaving of his own choice. I asked him to stay. I can't force people to stay. If I could, we'd have about 2 dozen more Michigan fans in here.
We've lost a lot more Michigan fans than we've lost opposing fans.Last edited by lineygoblue; September 4, 2016, 08:48 PM."in order to lead America you must love America"

I miss those user pic bets. Fun memories! To see a Michigan forum filled with so many Ohio State logos after a Buckeye win was priceless. It takes a special group of guys on your side for something like that to happen. I recall Genghis Jon muttering about still having three or four days left with the OSU logo as his avatar, and how he despised it. But it was all in fun and we all knew it. I know I haven't been back long, but I vote for a forum filled will football, fun, and laughter. Trash talking? Absolutely. Personal insults? Take them somewhere else.

Mike:
I'm open to not posting in the M "game" or "season" threads so that you can avoid hearing about M through an OSU prism. I'm cool with the echo chamber.
I'm not cool with being treated as anything less than a full member here for reasons I've posted several times over on this thread.
Finally the state rules for the OSU Thread or any Un-moderated thread:
3. If you CLICK on an un-moderated thread (like ohio), and you see something there you don't like, ... oh well. Don't complain to me about it. It was decided a few months ago by the majority of Michigan fans here that they WANTED the thread here. SO .. it stays. And... if you click on it, .. and you see something that pisses you off, .. oh well. You clicked on it. You should know better. If you don't like what's posted in there, don't click on it. Don't post there. Let the thread DIE, as it should have YEARS ago. Its outlived its purpose and usefulness long ago.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Peace indeed. If that was truly your objective none of this would be necessary.
We changed the thread title when Paul returned who was the originator of that thread. I posted in there that I was going to be contributing to that thread again. But, you knew this.
We do need to update the rules. Thank you for pointing that out."in order to lead America you must love America"

None of this is necessary. My opinion of you as a moderator is well-documented and clear and I stand behind it 100%. I have nothing further to say to you.Last edited by iam416; September 4, 2016, 09:56 PM.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I tried deleting posts as a forum moderator once. It doesn't work. It's a bad idea, and it was a bad idea when I did it. Unless someone is just torrentially abusive or unwilling to post on topic, banning that person usually says more about the small-mindedness of the person doing the banning.
On the other hand, of course, we're talking about banning Talent. Talent should have been banned from all civilized conversation eons ago. One could even argue(and I have) that he should have been banned from civilization eons ago. If there were any justice in this world, he'd have been marooned on some blighted spit of land with a bucket of rusty nails, a blunderbuss, and a Tom Clancy novel.
So keep up the good work, linesman-- you're doing a hell of a job.
