And I didn't say that the topic of ND "chickening out" or "not chickening out" was out of bounds. It is fair game for discussion in any of the threads, including the ND thread. However, the thread title was corrected with respect to Mike.

Do I understand this right? Michigan grads have had to put up with to hell with Michigan in the thread title for years without so much as a peep of complaint. But cluck, cluck, cluck for 24 hours and whiny Clashmore tells you to jump and you ask how high. Eff him for not having a sense of humor. And I fart in your general direction for accommodating him.

This is a Michigan forum first and foremost. Never forget that.

None of your other thread titles are as inflammatory as the ND one. If I had started a thread and the title was changed, i would be pissed. You guys don't operate on quite the same system here though. Your threads are semi-moderated. Given that, I would remove the "To hell with Michigan" part of the thread title and leave it as the Notre Dame thread. The alternative would be to start a "Buy Notre Dame Poultry : Biggest chickens in all the land" thread for those that despise the papists.

Dennis - I've always looked at the "The Hell With Michigan" thread as a poke at Charlie Weis. That was his attitude toward Michigan, and Michigan (or, failing to beat Michigan) is one of the reasons he's no longer at ND. I don't really see it as an insult to us. Its their attitude, but we've had scoreboard on them even a couple times during the sucky RRod years. They have to live with that.

Clashmore Mike has hung with us since the days when we were all at the old Detroit Free Press site. IIRC, he grew up in AA, about a mile away from the BH. He's always been like our Nebraska fans here. A decent fellow, who takes his lumps, and dishes it out as well. I don't think anyone should have a problem with Mike having his thread here.

Tony - If you want to start a "Buy Notre Dame Poultry: Biggest Chickens In All The Land" thread, be my guest. Mike's thread will stay.
