Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
But Liney, you should be driving slow while driving your new truck route across the country---it's gotta be good for business to be driving slowly thru neighborhoods:

I guess I can live with the way Indiana sets up its roads, (like I have a choice) but the scary thing is when the boss tells me before leaving,
"Oh, and watch out for some of the Amish in that area... some of them don't believe in putting any kind of lights or reflectors on their buggies, so you won't be able to see them until you are right on them"...

Quit complaining about "paradise", Liney!

This week I was in OlieO more than I was in Indiana.
And those Amish are everywhere. I almost killed about 5 of them near some place called "Apple Creek" OlieO. Came up over a hill at about 55 mph, an almost rear ended a couple of those buggies. Scary moment.

Despite your near-tragic encounter with those Amish in oLIEo, Liney, keep this in mind: most of those folks are a huge cut above the general population of that cesspool of a state. (BTW, those shirts you often see with an outline of the state of oLIEo with the wording 'Worst State Ever'? 100% true and accurate!) Most of the rest of the citizenry down there are "gainfully employed" either with meth labs or moonshine (or both!).
Besides, were you really going that fast? And didn't they hear you coming? Not only have I never seen an Ice Cream truck moving more than a few MPH, but that annoying music ALL Ice Cream trucks play should have gotten their attention. My kids, when they were little, could hear those things a mile away!
Its not an ice cream truck, Rob. I'm driving a 18 wheeler nowadays. I made the mistake of taking an Ohio "state road" from near Newark, to just outside Wooster, (Apple Creek) and its a road that passes more for a roller coaster ride, than an actual road. And the Amish seem to like living along that road. I had to stop several times for oncoming traffic so I could get around their buggies. I came over one hill at about 50 mph, and immediately on the other side was an Amish buggy, clomping along at about 1 MPH ... Hence, my near wipe-out. I would have put the truck in the ditch, rather than hit one of those folks. I'll never use that road again. I'll find another route if I have to make that run again.
I also had occasion to skirt the northern edges of the septic tank Columbus, on my way to Newark. Just another big town with rude 4 wheelers.
