                  • Received this text from Jon’s wife today. I texted him shortly after he dropped the news here and he responded. Texted again a few days ago and…

“Good afternoon Mike, this is Terry, Jon's wife. I'm very sorry and sad to tell you by text that Jon passed away at home November 21st surrounded by family. I'm sure he was happily watching Blue kick butt on those nasty schmuckeyes from heaven. His obituary can be found at dryerfuneralhomeholly.com. Please feel free to spread the word to the rest of the tailgate gang. His memorial service is January 16th.”

                      • Thanks Mike. The link above takes you to a funeral home created page that provides a link for flowers. I don't see anything that allows contributions to a charity in Jon's name. I assume Jon's already been interred so, can't see flowers as appropriate. Can you get further recommendations from Jon's wife, Terry of where people here might want to donate to a charity of Jon's (or his family's) choice?

Edit: if you go directly to the Dryer Funeral Home web page you can find the obit and information on his memorial service which will be held on January 16th. So, flowers may still be appropriate.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
