There needs to be an NCAA rule on this immedately. Letting every conference create their own rules is ridiculous. It would be like every conference having completely different rules for the game of football.

An NCAA cap on number of scholarships per year would almost singlehandedly eliminate oversigning overnight.

Too easy of a solution for the No Clue About Anything to even consider, Jamie!

Seems like it should be an easy solution. If you cap it at 25 scholarships a year, that gives you room for 15% attrition and you'll still be maxed out at 85 over 4 years.

Maybe you could add in extra scholarships if a certain number of kids leave the program via transfer or something, to avoid screwing over a team that gets hit with large attrition, say during a coaching change. But no rules that allow teams to just cut down guys to get new scholarships.
