  • I see the SEC West Championship Game Take 2 is off to a rousing 3-0 start. I wonder if either team will actually crack double digits in points this time?

    • Not real impressed with LSU so far. Very slow start. Bama passing on first shows some initiative at least.

      • You are looking at two of the best defenses of the last 25 years.

          • Very tight formations for Bama as normal. Good defenses yes, very good defensive lines against the run.

            • Ok, I thought our cheerleader outfits were dumpy, but Bama's? Sheesh.

              • You guys do remember Georgia held LSU w/o a 1st down in the 1st half of the SEC CG? And then that Georgia D got lit up by a mediocre sparty O?

I'm tired of this overhyped "dominant-D" SEC BS.

                • There might be 10-12 Alabama defenders tonight that will play in the NFL, there will be 3 first rounders this draft (Kilpatrick, Hightower and Upshaw)

I think you are understating things. These are clearly the best defenses of the past 10,000 years, if not more.

Alabama's defense is SO good, they can interfere mentally with LSU's center, causing him to continuously snap the ball erratically. It's unbelievable!

                    • West Virginia put up over 500 yards on LSU's once-in-a-generation defense but turned it over 6 times and made that score look like a blowout. Oregon lost to them in a similar way.

                      • LSU's D has been otherworldly at causing turnovers, theirs is more of an opportunistic D, Alabama's is just flat dominant.

                        • That was terrible...

Does LSU have a back-up QB?

                          Comment

                          • I'm not sure what the deal with LSU's QB situation is. The "backup" has more than double the yards and double the TD throws of Jefferson. But I think he was only playing due to Jefferson's legal issues, and there rumors he was going to be academically ineligible for the postseason.

                            • Well...as far as I'm concerned, they don't have much of a choice.

                              • Crappy game, I'm afraid. Maybe LSU will get moving in the 4th quarter...
