Sure, what the pedo did and how the people that knew defended him is despicable, but I think the actions of those people is being projected onto the University and everyone associated with it too broadly.

I've thought about this more and more last night on my last flight home and this morning on the drive to work..

I actually have more harse feelings towards those who enabled than Sandusky. Sandusky is sick in the head and needed to be locked away. But those around him were enablers. They enabled him to exist and get away with it. They were not sick in the head, but rather chose to ignore it.

I have a bigger problem with them.

Seriously, fair enough. But that's not how humanity works. Intellectually I know you're right, but I'm no longer coming at this from that spot. I read an anecdote about a mother asking Sandusky whether he abused her son and he said ``I don't know. Maybe.'' Instantly as a parent you transpose that scenario to you and your son, and then forget reasoning -- it's time for pitchforks at that point.

agree.. I'd be very agressive in my next steps.. I'd want him to be punished if he couldn't answer that question.

Well I think in that scenario I would probably volunteer to do some of the punishing myself, just to make sure. At least, I hope I would.

There are similar examples. Like embezzling bank employees who don't take a vacation day for five years and then get busted one day when they get sick.

PSU will dedicate tomorrow's win to Paterno and plans to deliver the game ball to him after beating Nebraska tomorrow.

that is correct.. they will hand deliver the game ball to Joe Pa after they win. They're counting on it.

I was very worried about this game with PSU having 2 weeks. They will break bones trying to win this for their coach.
