  • Not for Jim Delaney and Rupert Murdoch.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Actually the school presidents (UNL and Texas) get along. They are friends. The fans have a different perspective.

Our relationship with Texas, from an athletic department perspective, was very profitable.
Right, and if Texas were added to the Big Ten, their ability to screw over Nebraska would be very small. Texas would only have a fraction of the power in the Big Ten that they had in the Big 12, because the Big Ten would never give them all the power the way the Big 8 did.

          • I think it's rather clear that UT is going to work to save the B12. If they can do that, then the superconference train brakes for awhile and UT and ND can maintain the status quo, which is their first, second and third choices.

However, if OU leaves, then the B12 is dead and SC race is on. At that stage, the best option for UT and ND is the B10. I think preliminary talks have taken place, but that it's much more precautionary than anything else.

Also, I don't think the P10 takes OU w/o UT. They'll want 16, not 14. So, I think the B12 will hold and this will get put off for a bit.

              • Auburn escapes by the skin of their ass in the Cam Newton Bowl. MSU got tackled an inch or two shy of the end zone and didn't have any TO's left. It also appeared that MSU might've scored 3 or 4 players earlier but they ruled an airborne player out of bounds before he landed on the pylon.

Uhhhh, fear not, Liney. I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel currently.

Ugly showing for me in my first attempt at a Pick 'Em pool. Clearly out of my league right now. I need some welfare myself!

                      • Michigan is not top 25 caliber yet IMO. Definitely not #17.

                          • M isn't top 30, let alone top 20...

They might end up there but it's not because how good they are today. Oregon seems low, they lost to a really good LSU team and shouldn't have too many challenges in the Pac 12.

We're a pretty bad team hoping to eke out enough wins to keep our recruiting momentum going.

It's bad, but not that bad. Amused that RR keeps claiming this was his breakout year at Michigan. He's a CBS janitor now, no?
