I think if Michigan can handle Marvin Harrison Jr - by far the best WR in CF and that Ohio WR gang without Will Johnson for half the game. They have a good chance, all with the debt at D-line

I don't envy the committee members. Three of Alabama, Florida State, Texas, Georgia and Ohio State are going to get left out. I agree with the notion that Michigan, Alabama, Texas and Washington are the four best teams, but it's going to be awfully tough to keep Florida State out. The ACC was the weakest Power Five league this year, IMO, but you don't want to see a 13-0 team essentially punished for QB injuries.Comment

The big picture argument that I’m seeing is “most deserving” vs “best team.”
Where the most deserving argument would fit FSU’s narrative. They’re a 13-0 power 5 conference champ. However, it seems likely that FSU is not even close to a top 4 team without Jordan Travis.
It will probably be:
1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. Texas 4. Alabama

If Alabama is left out, so be it. It’s our own fault for the idiocy of playing a rough week 2 OOC game with a young team and a new QB. We should have played East Carolina, SoMiss, Bowling Green, or the like.
There is no profit in having the highest SOS of the potential playoff field; it’s just stupid risky to do so with little payoff. No one cares. Dumb scheduling is dumb.

If there's one thing I look forward to in future college football seasons(and there aren't many such things right now), it's that there will be more of an incentive to schedule good non-conference games. One loss won't be the season-killer it can be now.Comment

So the #1 Team plays in the Rose Bowl ahhh I hate that fucking place and it's a house of horrors for Michigan guaranteed loss.
I hope Washington is number #1
