      • The chances of Oregon and Washington joining the Big Ten has now been termed a "coin toss," sources told CBS Sports on Friday morning. Following an evening filled with uncertainty, at least one of those two programs is wavering with a move out of the Pac-12 -- seemingly over financial reasons. I say (B10) heads!

          • McMurphy is more reliable, IMO. That sounds about right. I mean, the PAC commish met with the schools a day or two ago and presented a streaming package on Apple + that could pay the schools "up to" $20M/year. Arizona immediately fled to the Big 12. There is nothing for the PAC to sell at this point other than "please don't let the conference die on my watch".

            • CBS says that Oregon/Washington told the rest of the Pac12 they are out this morning. Official Big10 invite could come later today.

              • I don't mind those additions but for the love of fuck, don't grab Cal/Stanford. The next focus needs to be the ACC.

                • I still think this west coast strategy sucks, but if that's what they're going to do, then Oregon and Washington are your best options. That it screws up their Apple Cup and Civil War (did not realize until last week that Eugene and Corvallis are a lot closer to each other than AA and EL) shows just how desperate teams are to bolt from the Pac12.

One question that fails to get clarification is how do you fairly determine a "Conference Champion" when half of the teams don't even play each other? Assuming there ends up being a Big-20, do you split it in half or 4ths (with a conference semifinal)?

Also. are"non-conference games gone altogether? Not like any of us would miss those blockbusters like UMass or Bowling green, but it would sure be nice to have an occasional matchup with a National Power (other than ND) on the schedule.

                  • Arizona State & Utah are "showing interest" in the Big 12, per Brett McMurphy, one of my favorite guys I follow on X

                        • Just received video from PAC? HQ in San Francisco of the moment George Kliavkoff pitched Apple+ to his university presidents and ADs. "Guys... streaming is the way of the future..... what happened to the lights?"

                          • I, for one, am positively giddy that the conference that tormented Michigan throughout my formative years has imploded like a Vegas casino. HOW'D THAT WORK OUT FOR YA?!

Hey now...you still have that tainted Rose Bowl win over Wazzu that lead to your National Runner-Up finish...
