I find Kirby to be annoying. He’s way too intense and into a game on the sideline. More than anyone in football. Basically like a hyperactive basketball coach.
Needs to lighten up a bit!
Brian Kelly just yells at people and occasionally will develop a purple colored face. Not as much anymore, but still happens.

Kirby, as DC at Bama, was taking pics of our internal recruiting board as he was planning to take the Georgia job. He also was actively recruiting commitments to Bama to flip and go to Georgia while DC at Bama. He would show recruits the pictures of the recruiting board and say, “See, you’re only #3 on Bama’s list for WR recruits. You’re our #1!” And a bunch of other ridiculous behaviors.
Then, the Mo Smith stuff. This was before the portal and ease of transfer rules. Back then you couldn’t xfer without the coach signing off on it. Mo Smith was a Bama DB and when Kirby left for Georgia, this guy wanted to follow him to Georgia. Kirby showed his ass on the matter. Talked to the press about how unfair it was and about free choice and being on the kid’s side and other bullshit. Emboldened by this, Mo’s family threatened to sue and Saban said that he would let the SEC office decide and they quickly caved. So the kid went to Georgia. Fine. At the SAME time, a Georgia player wanted to follow his former HC (Richt) to his new school (Miami). Kirby immediately blocked it and said, “He couldn’t allow players to leave to follow their former coach. That would be a dangerous trend that he couldn’t allow.”
I could go on, but my point is simply this:
Kirby Smart is a diseased piece of shit and I wish absolutely nothing but the worst for him.

I’m not pawning off anything. I explained why I hate Kirby. I don’t hold grudges against former Bama assistants who have moved on and Georgia isn’t really a traditional rival of ours.
Nothing that Kirby did was illegal by any NCAA rule. It possibly could have fallen under some of the corporate sabotage statutes but that would have been hard to win and messy.
