  • Clemson's been good for one close game a year in ACC play for the last few years. Last year, Boston College almost got them, and BC figures to be better this year. I'd agree that on talent, Clemson ought to run the table from here on out, but it wouldn't shock me if they dropped one more.

    • They will def be outta CFP consideration if they drop another and, honestly, with that sched, the rest of the football world will have to align for them to get in legitimately.

        • The ACC's bad opening week is getting a bit worse, as Ole Miss leads Louisville 23-0 in what has become the Targeting Bowl.

          • Ohio State at #2 is cosmically stupid which is to say entirely expected from any work product Bezerklie deems worthy to bludgeon the general public with. They have no back 7. CJ Stroud would maybe split reps at IMG. The only thing they have going for them is Chris Olave and the fact that they play in the B10. However, I don't even think the shitty B10 helps them this year, which is probably good. I'd hate to see this giant bag of mediocre fall ass-backwards into a CFP beatdown.

            The correct rankings are:

            1. UAT

            2-25. It just doesn't matter.

            Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

            • Re: Alabama.

We’ll be good, no doubt, but to bridle the optimism by Bama fans and the resignation of rivals:

Miami was a very mediocre 8-3 last year. They now have a three-game losing streak. Bama Saturday, a 36-point loss to UNC last year before the season was capped with a loss to Okie State in the (checks notes) Cheez-It Bowl. This is not the Miami team of Jimmy J and Irvin; rather, just a middling team in a middling conference.

              • It's Bama and everyone else right now. I didn't see a team well rounded enough to be a clear #2 right now.

                • We won’t know anything substantive about Bama until week 3: at Benny Hill Merv Griffin Stadium and playing the Mighty Gators of Cocaine Dan.

Did he have a scholarship, or was he a walk-on?

I never heard of him. Assume he was a walk-on.

                          • In one of the CFB recaps I read, he was a walk-on safety inn 2019 - at least that was the slot he got. Clearly he's a pretty good QB.

Ren Hefley (12) Quarterback - Fall 2021: Played and started in all 11 games at quarterback for PC… led the PFL in total offensive yards per game (360.1), total
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

That was probably before he paired up with Stimpy..
