It's not as troubling as Alabama scheduling various 8th grade-level teams to pad their way to another CFP. We all know they get 1 freebie loss and don't have to win their own division. The Nick has finally gone maximal and scheduled a guaranteed 11-1 record and, thus, a CFP spot. Whatever Woodie Dixon has done, it's nowhere near a shameful as Alabama's complete unwillingess to play anyone of consequence. Neither team can really boast about their non-con sched this year. Is Ohio State's better? Yeah, one team is, but that's like bragging that having liver cancer is better than having pancreatic cancer.
Ohio State's 2018 non-con opponents' combined record is 6-11. None of them are ranked in the Top 25. Ohio State scored a combined 166 points on these three teams and had a combined MOV of 101 points (or a bit more than 33 points per game). Ohio State was in no danger of losing any of those three games.
Alabama's 2018 non-con opponents' combined record is 7-10. None of them are ranked in the Top 25. Alabama scored a combined 164 points on these three teams and had a combined MOV of 129 points (or 43 points per game). Alabama was in no danger of losing to any of these three teams.
In sum: Ohio State was the first team to get into the playoff without winning their conference and only Alabama and Clemson have more CFP appearances than the Buckeyes. Of course, the Buckeyes would be tied with Clemson if they hadn't lost by 31 to an unranked team in November last year. Both teams will be given the benefit of the doubt this year.

UGA goes down in the swamp to LSU. The most important thing about this is that UGA doesn't return home until November. The have a bye and two road games v. Kenturcky and FL. The SEC East winner is in doubt. UGA still controls its own destiny and last season UGA got waxed on the road in October and still ended up winning the East.
