Yep, they beat South Alabama last night. South's coach Joey Jones, the only coach the program has ever had, announced his resignation last week. It will be interesting to see who they hire. I think Jones did a pretty good job build a brand new program, but I think it is a tough job. There isn't much local interest int he team and they are up against the SEC on Saturdays so they play to an empty stadium.
There is a ton of division one talent in this area, but all of the local kids have the SEC in their eyes. Arkansas State and Troy seem to get the best of the crumbs right now.I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it onComment

Joey is a great guy, too. Does a lot of charity work. He was an undersized WR for Bryant on some championship wishbone teams.
