  • The USC loss was coming. They are not particularly good at the moment. Wazzu is typical Leach, so whatever. They'll lose a couple or more.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
    Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

    • I will have you know that ESPN said in no uncertain terms that Washington State in now in the national championship discussion. And I'm sure fan boy Brian Cook thinks the Pirate has got a splendid team. So they have that going for them.

      • The broadcast booth was awful. If asked about it they'd have hyped to death the delicious coffee in the press room or something.

Darnold just seems interception prone at the moment. Can certainly see the talent.

        • I don't think Washington State is that good, I do think their offense is tough to prepare for, though. The receivers don't typical routes, they just try to get open and hope that the QB finds them. So far they have been successful doing that. They average over 400 yards a game in passing.

I said right after they were minding Darnold's stepchildren, that he'd better go down and get points, watch him throw a pick here. Next play he fumbled.

Just don't know when to stop.

            • Badgers at home looking impotent against the Kittens.

Hornibrook not at all impressive. fNW looking good on D v. the Wisky run. Surprising. It's 7-3 right now Wisconsin.

The last couple of BT games I've watched, there's a good deal of 3-3-5 being played on D and a lot of blitzing.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                • Never mind ....... Badgers 31, Kittens 10 following a pic 6.

Cryst will just wear down fNW like Wisky likes to do.

God, I still have nightmares about the RichRod fiasco against them, not long enough ago to forget about it.

                  • Like how all three games I'm watching have a 31-24 score and all are basically experiencing the same thing.

                    • Well, NW keeps it interesting.

If I'm a Wisconsin fan, I hate how the coaches have played the last 6 minutes.

I guess in the end, its going to be a Badger's win but you have to question it.

Do you give up scores to the opponent by playing prevent to burn clock? I'd like to know what the play sheet coaches are looking at looks like or what the play-by-play v. time remaining probabilities are for an approach like this.

                      • The Terps beat the Gophers 31-24. I actually think Minnesota is just bad defending the run (Maryland had over 200y on the ground) but you have to give DJD credit. He's on his 3rd QB and still winning games.

Of the 4 teams I watched today, if M plays soundly on the road, like they did v. Purdue, Maryland and Wisconsin should go down but both games will be, low scoring, survival games, esp. v. Wisconsin, with a lot physicality on both sides. I don't know what we'll see from Maryland. Right now, a little hard to predict given the QB situation. But, frankly, M is in the same boat. We'll know more about M's QB situation after they face MSU.

I can't see the Gophers coming to AA and beating M.

                        About to watch PSU/IU.

                        • Not sure how good of competition the Gophers are but I like what Maryland is doing on both sides of the ball. I don't think we'll have any trouble with them but I can see the Terrapins being a very solid 'Iowa' like program in the B1G.

                          • Gameday scene at Maryland is as lame as one can possible imagine and then some, but there seems to be at least decent fan support. Last year's final home game was well attended, and for this year's Michigan game I may have to pay a premium.

                            • IU too many mistakes on the road v. PSU. Spotted the Nots 14 points off turnovers. Game over at 28 - 0.

FSU looks like they're not really interested in playing. Wake Forest leads 6-3.

                              • First coach out in 2017 is Sean Kugler (0-5) at UTEP. He will be replaced by interim head coach and former Alabama head football coach (on a contractual basis) Mike Price.

Sean Kugler, in his fifth season as UTEP's head football coach, resigned Sunday after an 0-5 start to the season. The Miners will announce their interim coach on Monday.
