Were tears involved? I'll bet there was a lot of blame to go around.

Cal 21 Oregon 0 in the 2nd Brady Hoke D looks like a prevent, his DB are 11/15 yards off the line from any WR. Five in the box on almost all plays also, so Cal is running and passing at will. But he's clapping a lot!

I remember reading that Oregon only returned one starter from their front 7 coming into this season. However everyone from their secondary returned. Oregon was bad on D in 2015 anyways.
A combination of players and coaching. I question the defensive formations Hoke used in the first half that I saw. CBs were lined up 8 yards back and safeties played a deep zone most of the time. Uh, doesn't that help a patient Air (Bear) Raid offense that likes to dink and dunk?
41 Cal first downs and I imagine time of possession was one sided.
At least Hoke is the "dominate recruiter" that he was really brought to Oregon for, right?
Surprisingly, they have two 4-star CBs for 2017... Their best 5 recruits are on D. Oh yea, doesn't matter if you can't develop them.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill
