                      • Last year cfn did a list of the top NCAA FB player out of each state. A lot of those light pink states were sorta sad. The top player out of Vermont was a guy that plays for FCS New Hampshire, for example.

                          • I don't understand that chart. Is it per capita? It can't be per capita Louisiana would be way higher than California.

                            Total? Ohio produces way more than 20 3* FBS kids per year. Per the 247 Composite, Ohio has over 50 kids at 3* or better for the class of 2017 and 27 of them have already verballed to FBS schools and 22 of them to P5 FBS schools.

                            Put another way, there's no way Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin should be in the same group, and there's no way NJ is higher than Ohio.

                                If so, then that's a pretty weird metric to use.
