Setting aside geography, Cincinnati and UConn are both awful adds. UC brings absolutely nothing. UConn, at least, has some hoops prestige if you're willing to add a football program that makes Ames look almost big-time.

The only benefit those schools have is getting WV some closer games.

It seems to me that the new model for TV dollars is quality more than markets. What games are people going to pay for ala carte? Are those games enough to get subscriptions to your entire conference? Etc.

I think they're far better off adding BYU and Houston in terms of producing decent games. But Houston is probably a no-go even though it's more in the SEC area of the state. Boise would probably be my replacement -- but, eh...I dunno...they're such shit in EVERYTHING else.

Bama's starting Left Tackle was arrested for Felony gun possession recently.. in Louisiana (near or at his home town). ESPN has reluctantly reported on it.

Lesson here is bama players need to stay in friendly parts of Alabama so issues like this disappear.
