RR had no success and Hoke's winning % was .60 ... Not even close to Richt.

My point is that Richt is NOT RR/Hoke bad. He's a Lloyd Carr level of good/competent. Just saying that it's a lot easier to win 9/10 games a year at UGA than it is at Maryland.
Also, comparing win totals from the pre-BCS/CCG era to now is not apples to apples. Teams routinely play 13-14 games a year with some FCS opponents thrown in.

That was back in the Steve Spurrier days when Phil Fulmer had a good offensive coordinator. It hasn't been that way for a long time and in the non Urban years Georgia has had largely a cakewalk to get to the CCG. The SEC East sucks.

I would pick Alabama over MSU, but I think they are much more ready to play a team like them in comparison to 2011 (I think?) ... that game when Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, and Bama DESTROYED MSU in their bowl game.
MSU is doing well in the trenches this season, has a better QB (who would be healthy by Jan 1), and overall have more talent than 4 years ago. They have proven they can win "the big game" too, unlike back then.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill
