The Independence Bowl deserves some sort of award for having the most fucking awful official names in the history of bowl games:
The Poulon Weed Eater Independence Bowl
The Mainstay Suites Independence Bowl
The Petrosun Indepedence Bowl
The AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl
The Duck Commander Independence Bowl

From OSU insider, Memphis and Cincinnati will join the B12. Just a matter of when it gets announced.
B12 needs a CG, even if that means taking two poop programs.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

The correct course of action, of course, would be to do away with conference championship games all together and have everyone play 9 game conference schedules - just like the Big 12 currently does. As is usually the case, the wrong lesson was learned in this instance and stupid knee-jerk reactions will follow.

That's a bummer. I guess overall I'm glad Nebraksa's in the Big Ten, but I'd rather see five or six strong instead of this race to poach and grow. As far as I'm concerned 12 members is fine, but there's a big difference with 14. I don't like this at all. The Big 12 as it was seemed to have a good amount of healthy programs and great rivalries.

Now they are taking on two mouths to feed in order to just get the pure numbers they had five years ago, so they can play a CCG in football. Its fucking comical.
