          • Lots of water yet to flow under the bridge.

Hoping ND drops one and if the do, it will probably be Syracuse. If M wins out, this will move M to #3 to play Clemson in the CFP.

Chaos scenario? Alabama loses to UGA in the SEC CCG, osu beats M on 11/24.

Other iterations exist but these are probably the two most likely situations to occurr that would affect the CFP/seeding.

Of lower probability but one that would hurt: NU beats osu/M in the CCG. The BIG would be out of the CFP.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

            • The B10 is out unless M wins out. And even then it would get really, really dicey if UGA upset Bama (and ND and Clemson won out).

              • Well, it depends on how UGA beats Bama. A close game with some questionable reffing? Maybe. UGA pounds us into submission? Nah.

                • Looking at opponents, I think Clemson gives us the most trouble. The front 7 is legit. Second would be M. Great defense, solid offense. I think ND is the worst of the four at this point in time.

                  • Right. No one is pounding Bama into submission. It feels like mauve unicorns shitting leprechauns eating rainbows nonsense to even talk about them losing.

                    • LSU is still ranked 7th. Alabama just beat them by 29 and it could have been 45. At home. And the committee only dropped them to 7. That ought to tell everyone, especially M fans, that you better damn well root for the Death Star to win out.

                      • Let's just award the death star the national title right now and everyone else play for second place.

                        • Bama is beatable. The biggest thing is Tua. Because Jalen Hurts is still walking like a war hero in a veteran's day parade.

So, Tua goes down, we drop to the #3 QB, redshirt frosh Mac Jones who looks like a 17-year-old usher for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

                          • Alabama won a national title in 2011 with no discernible offense, at least against really good defensive teams.

                            • This year's Bama defense is lightyears behind the 2011 defense. The 2011 offense averaged 35 points per game and the defense held opponents to 8.

This year's D is getting better but it's full of youth.
