And a good one. Until we get the Aleppo Colisseum ISIS Bowl presented by Kalashnikovs 'ᴙ' Us, Nashville will have to do.

      • It was a good joke, ent. No, really. Still almost chuckling. Well, almost. Nice job; good effort.

                  • I'm hoping for Bama, Penn State, Clemson, and Washington wins in the CCGs.

                    Imagine the chaos.

You leave U-Dub out? One loss, conference champions, and the Pac-12 was left out last year.

You leave Penn State out? B1G champs and beat OSU H2H.

You leave Clemson out? Went to the title game last year, one loss, conference champs this year.

You leave Ohio State out? One loss and arguably the best team in the country.

                    It will be hilarious.

                    • The greater chaos would be VT and CU winning. Does the committee take 3 BIG teams?

No, they'd take Colorado and they'd promote the 'they're one of the best teams right how' narrative and writers would jump on the "feel good" aspect of an underdog team being in.
In that scenario, Buffs, Bama, and two from the B1G.

                        • Yeah, if chaos reigns and CU and PSU get in, will be hard to stomach as a UM fan. Fucking Iowa.

                          • I don't think Wisky can get in.. I think others would be taken over them, including Michigan. I do think PSU could get in.. based upon quality wins. The committee could focus on who did you beat as the narrative.

AA.. if PSU wins, there will be pressure to take them. Can you really take a CU over Michigan since Michigan won by 17 earlier in the season and they both have 2 losses. I'd also say Michigan would have better quality wins. If hey did take CU over a Michigan, I think the debate would last for weeks.

                            • I think it would be much easier to take Wisconsin over M than Penn State over M. And in any event, the CFP committee views Wisconsin as having a better resume than PSU, and I agree. Wisconsin has beaten LSU and proved they can play with top 5 teams. I actually think Wisconsin showed better against OSU than Penn State. PSU showed they could hang around against OSU and then block two kicks -- one of them remarkably fortunate in the block; the other remarkably fortunate in the direct bounce. They also showed they could get asswailed by M.

Wisconsin's close loss to M is way easier to get over if they're both 2-loss teams.

In any event, I'm hoping for Colorado OR Virginia Tech OR Wisconsin to win. That'll guarantee a spot for OSU.

                              • I still think a win of OSU (regardless of how) is > to a win vs LSU this year.

Again, I'm not sure what the committee will focus on (or better yet, what they will say to justify the selections)... I'm just saying a if they focus on "who did you beat", PSU would stand strong, especially if they win Saturday. If they don't, yes.. they are out.
