      • They are always most relevant in smoky boardrooms, not as much on the field.

          • Many boosters will be happier when they get their white coach that allows them inside access... While all boosters want to be special, at Texas they want to be part of the decisions.

Really.. no different than bama pre-Saban. He had the clout to end it.

                    • Ed Orgeron to LSU and Tom Herman to Texas?
Meanwhile, Purdue might be able to come in and pick up Miles, PJ Fleck, or someone else...
If you've watched any Purdue games in the last 7 seasons, any of those names will provide better coaching than Danny Hope/ Darrell Hazell.

Thanks Coach O for getting the LSU job...

                      • I kind of had a feeling LSU would end up sticking with Orgeron. That just seemed like something that needed to happen. It may totally fail, it might work out brilliantly, and it will probably fall somewhere in between those two extremes, but it is just a little bit crazy, and well, that's LSU.

                        • I love it. Ed is not brilliant or innovative. He is tough and his teams will play hard, but I love the position that this puts Bama in.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                              • Orgeron is more of the same with Miles. Very little-to-no coordinator experience, those types of head coaches [obviously] need very good hires at both coordinators to be successful. He'll recruit extremely well, top 5-10 classes. Now we just need Saban to retire and then Bama hire RR (2-9, 0-8 in Pac 12 I think) who they couldn't land last time they had a coaching vacancy.
