You'll have to see how it plays out, the people who like to argue that having only a 4 team playoff makes it great because there are 5 conferences kind of miss this scenario. And I think this scenario might happen more frequently. If Penn State wins out, I guess they have a legitimate claim even though I don't think they are a top 4 team. OSU shouldn't have lost, they put themselves in that position by losing. Don't lose.

Interesting that if OSU gets fucked by Penn State, Urban will have one conference championship in 4 years with one undefeated season (Which got him a division title). Much like how UM got fucked 72-74 with Bo. (30-2-1 with one undefeated season (73 10-0-1) one conference co-title and no bowl game)

It's possible that UFM will have won more CFP championships at OSU than B10 championships. In fact, I think the chances of OSU winning the CFP are way better than them winning the B10. PSU isn't losing to Rutgers. And I doubt PSU loses at home to MSU.

PAC 12's best Non-Conference wins are vs K-State, Texas Tech, BYU (twice), and Notre Dame.
I think Washington will be left out if they finish 12-1 because of how crappy their Non-Conference wins are.

3. Clemson
4. Wisconsin or Penn State

IMO, Alabama is in, even if they lose the SEC CG, and there's no way they can lose to an SEC East team.

IF Ohio State wins out then they'll be at (2) or (3). If Clemson wins out, I think Clemson is (2) in that situation.

IF Michigan wins out then they'll be (2).

IF Clemson wins out, they'll be (2) or (3) -- ahead of OSU or behind M. I'm assuming Clemson wins out.

IF Michigan beats IU and OSU and loses to Wisconsin (and they win out), then Wisconsin is (3).

In "win out" pecking order for (4), I think it's Washington, Wisconsin, Louisville, Penn State.

(1) Alabama
(2) Michigan or Clemson
(3) Ohio State or Clemson or Wisconsin
(4) Washington, Wisconsin, Louisville, Penn State

If Clemson loses then:

(1) Alabama
(2) Ohio State, Michigan or Wisconsin

Also, of some note, Ohio State betting odds for winning the CFP jumped big time this weekend. Oddsmakers seem to think thing improved for them this weekend.
