  • And as far as the conference goes, it's not like Penn State will finish with a better record than OSU (or M). It'll be the same. Each lost a game on the road.

Does anyone seriously think PSU is the best team in the East? Or 2nd best team? Meanwhile, a team with 2 conferences will win the West. TWO. If Wisky wins the B10, does anyone really think they're better than OSU? Or M?

    Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

    • Wisconsin would beat Michigan if they played today.

No, but then again the Committee in all their wisdom put aTm at #4 two weeks ago.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Well, we have some hard data re: Ohio State vs Oklahoma.

The "nobody knows" thing is used by non power 5 conferences. Do you remember Tulane going undefeated a number of years back? Their president made that argument and threatened a lawsuit. In other words, we already accept that not all conferences are created equally. Hell, we invented the "Power 5" designation because we accept, up front, that there are weaker conferences.

              • Jeff..... Wisconsin are battled-tested. Michigan has not improved much since the two teams played. OSU is the best team in the conference, but won't make the championship game once they beat Michigan. Wisconsin will beat PSU and be B1G champs.

                • Having the title of conference champion imo is enormous as far as your CFP resume.

                  • Coaches Poll - not that I think this is a good measure! - but, nonetheless, I think it's about right:

                    1) Alabama (10-0)

                    2) osu (9-1)

                    3) Louisville (9-1)

                    4) Michigan (9-1)

                    5) Clemson (9-1)

                    Here are the rest:

Find the 2024 NCAAF rankings on ESPN, including the Coaches and AP poll for the top 25 NCAAF teams.

the "list" has strength of schedule over head to head--it's a list, not a specific criterion order

That comes into play for the other bowls. Not the playoffs

All things being equal, I think it does. But I'm cynical.

                            • Right now there is a credible chance 2 of the top 3 in both the Final AP and Coaches won't make the CFP. Louisville is almost certain to finish 11-1. OSU has an outside shot at it.

                              • I think Ohio State is the only team that can beat Bama. So, go Penn State, go Wva, go Washington.

                                Go, go, go!
