Would be interested in hearing more myself, drok. Certainly the health care. But I bet there are examples of both very interesting and helpful government services as well as very lacking government services.
I think, re Yahoo, in the end, it is a corporation and behaves predictably like one. These are all business decisions, and often are made based on the perceived values of customers rather than whatever BS is on the company's About Us page. Yahoo has decided it is good business to stay in places like Cuba and China, but also not to avoid Carolina in some ways. It's a market-forces decision.

Health care, education, food, housing is all guaranteed. There is no such thing as homelessness in Cuba. Crime is much lower than in North America (less property to steal of course). Theyre doctors are world renowned amongst latin countries as they send them abroad. Now I'm not saying it's some utopia that we should mirror but considering how their Carribean neighbours fare, and considering the biggest potential buyer of goods has ignored them for decades I think they've made a pretty good go of a not ideal situation. Really interesting place, incredible culture, and just very different from North America. Been there three times now and can't wait to go back again.

#7 Stanford got curb stomped by #10 U-dub last night 44-6. Watching the video recap, Stanford's secondary is awful. Several big plays given up early then in the later stages of the game just got run over.
Washington looks like the real deal.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Both of Stanford's starting CBs were out. Adjust your take accordingly.
Or, watch Washington barely beat RichGOD in OT last week.
They're good, but...Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

I spent a week in Cuba. Drok's assessment is spot on. The other thing is how fit the people are. Incredibly beautiful women. Probably because so little fat in diet and free health care.
Every private vehicle is a"taxi". Many private homes are "restaurants" I met many older people who were a part of Castro's revolution and love him dearly. Many young peole we met were facinated by the fact we Americans had come to Cuba. Most of them want to see change. All want to see the trade embargo ended and all want a closer relationship with the US.
While there I met with officials from the government, the courts, and other governmental departments. I definately want to go back.

Shit, I really wanted to put money on Washington -3, but I jumped on that Michigan -10 spread early in the week before it became less favorable (-11 now?). That was a bad idea unless Michigan wins 28-17 by luck.
Washington looked really good last night. Jake Browning (QB), Gaskin (RB), and John Ross (WR) might all be back next season too. If Washington trips up this year, they will be back at it next season for sure.
They have some tough games coming up with at Oregon (Colorado just won there) and at Utah.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

ND making a nice recovery over a shitty Syracuse team.
osu performing exactly like the #1 team that they should be. Bama, according to AA, may not be in the top ten.
Barrett and Freshman RB McCall are really impressive. First time I've watched an entire osu game and they are phonminally good. Rutgers is poop but you can see the discipline on both sides of the ball. Few errors that I could see, great coverage on D, a dangerous passing game. Right now, osu would be a two TD favorite over M in c-bus.
Ferentz isn't delivering on his new contract at home v. FnW. Cats just scored to go up 31-24.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished.
