I still think Herman might end up in southern California-- either with USC or in the NFL with the Rams or the Chargers. LSU will certainly make inquiries, though, and that outcome wouldn't shock me, either.

A competent school would not have fired Miles w/o having a pretty good about the replacement.
I suspect LSU is operating on a wishlist.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Jimbo Fisher is another name LSU people are mentioning again... though I doubt it just based on fiances... and why would Jimbo leave?
Fisher is making $5.2 million per year at FSU. LSU would probably have to pay Fisher more to come to LSU. Jimbo also has a $5 million buyout clause before 12/31/16.
Les Miles' buyout is $12.9 million too.
As AlabamaFan said, perhaps the fiances are a little more tough. Miles salary was surprisingly to me only $4.3 million per year.
Just settle for Lane Kiffin.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

We can only go on what we've seen so far and so far, spartie hasn't beaten anyone good.
Michigan's still in a similar boat but it's looking like Colorado is a better W than ND and Michigan has won every game by 17 or more points. If Michigan beats Wisky this Saturday, then they've got a ton more credibility.

Some early lines for this week's big games:
Stanford (+3) at Washington. Opened at +1 and is now floating between 3 and 3' -- you'd have to eat juice one way or the other depending on which one you took.
Wisconsin (-10) at M. Opened at 11'. I think 11' is about right.
Louisville (+2) at Clemson. Opened at +3'.
Tennessee (-3') at Georgia. Opened at 4.
Oklahoma (-2) at TCU. Opened as a PK.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Even with the rise of Clemson, FSU's still the big fish in that conference. He comes to LSU and he's not even the biggest fish in his own division. Both FSU and LSU have massive talent pools to draw from and national title aspiring fan bases. Unless there's some political/relationship issues behind the scenes, it just doesn't seem to make much sense for a move.
