        I can't go with M higher, AA.

Like you see too many holes in Alabama, I see similar holes for M ..... neither is the complete team you'd like to have to make a run at the CFB/NC. Right now, osu looks like the team to beat on that path with Louisville the dark horse.

M has three issues; (1) Wilton Speight, while he's been OK, he's looked rattled under pressure and has done dumb things that he got away with along with plenty of overthrows, underthrows and airballs with a DE or free blitzer in his grill. (2) The offense, and Speight, are going to be limited by weakness on the left side of the OL. (3) The Ss.

Your point is taken ..... OLs get better as the season goes along and M's might. That makes Speight better and might take some pressure off him by developing a demoralizing inside running game like The Nick can rely on to wear down an opponent's will.

Because like you, dyed in the wool fans like me, are always looking for the shoe to drop. Finding nits. Accordingly, I will tend to see Speight and the OL as having limited growth and development.

On the Ss: Both UCF and CU had plays, and not just a few, that challenged both of M's Ss, Hill and Thomas. While both have the capacity to make great plays on the ball because they can cover, hit and are aggressive, they also have the potential to utterly blow an assignment. PSU, MSU and osu all have receivers that will challenge them physically and they are all more talented than anything UCF or CU put out there.

I like E's take with M at #7 but right now I could swap M for MSU as second best in the BT East. So, M#7, MSU #7a or vice ver-sa.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

        • I'm not one to lose my shit one way or the other because of one game. I thought OSU was really talented. Winning at Norman the way they did is some confirmation that they have some players. They're still young, they're still mediocre at DT. They're still thin at RB. Long way to go and plenty of time for weaknesses to be exploited. Fortunately, OU is B12 soft up front, so OSU's DTs showed well.

I'm far less sure about other teams. Alabama will probably lose a game, but it won't matter. They'll still win the SEC. Louisville...I dunno. Getting Clemson early is probably good. Stanford's season is in the next two games. I'll defer to M fans on their team.

          My top 5:

          1. Alabama
          2. Louisville
          3. Clemson
          4. Ohio State
          5. Stanford

          • Louisville's schedule is a cakewalk the rest of the way except for Clemson and Houston, both on the road. And Clemson's been extremely shaky

You were a lot more fun providing counterbalance when you were fucking with the incorrigible Pollyanna's here posting dumb stuff and then whining about it when you pointed that out.

              Rivalry is good.

              Fuck osu.

              • Louisville might get another top 25 ranked Atlantic Coast division winner in the conference title game... If they beat Clemson
Pittsburgh and Miami are good this season.

Their schedule isn't that bad at all.

                • OSU's offense is good, but M's defense should be much improved from last year's version that faced the Buckeyes:
                  - Gary, Mone, and Glasgow on the DL
                  - Peppers as an experienced LB
                  - Lewis, Clark, and Stribling are one of the top secondaries in the country

OSU's D looks vulnerable again this year.

                      • Schiano, IMO, was a great hire.

I'm surprised by the cover capability of their CBs. They basically played press man all day against OU.

                          • Yea Gareon Conley is one of the best.
He will probably be another 1st Round CB Ohio State produces, following Eli Apple in 2016.

Idk much about Malik Hooker, but he was all over the field last night.
                            OSU = loaded on D.

                            • Clemson has not looked good. I think they need to be dropped.

And we aren't winning the SEC.
