  • I agree, that defense was not good.

    • State almost shut it down too soon.

      Good win.

      Fuck Notre Dame.

Nice win, Sparty ....... ND D is turrible.

I don't think smart CFB coaches these days pull back when they are ahead and there is a lot of time on the clock. Seems like Dantonio is a little bit old school cauze he sure did reign it in on both sides of the ball.

Frankly, teams need to come out shooting and keep doing that until the last second ticks off the clock. The risk of a comeback seems to be just too high given the offenses out there.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

        • Given that notre dame actually has a lot of talent on offense and almost none on defense, I don't get pulling back on the reigns. MSU could have broken 50 easily.

          • I told my son after they scored that last TD that ND appeared to have quit on the game and the Spartans just needed to get that stop on the ensuing drive. If you stop them there, then they stay demoralized. Then you can start bleeding and playing vanilla D.

And for Petes sake stop throwing away second down on Damion Terry wildcat plays. It doesn't work.

            • This dropping the ball before crossing the goal line is starting to become an epidemic.

It worked in one game. Last season. Amazingly.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
                Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

                • Looks like Satan and Urban for the rematch. Michigan will not beat Meyer until they can recruit similar athleticism.

                  • Unranked Texas beats ND.

                    spartie has trouble with Furman.

                    spartie beats ND.

                    Furman loses to Tenn-Chatt.

                    Texas loses to unranked Cal.

Is any team really good in this scenario? I'm not sure. I will say spartie is likely the best of this bunch.

                      • They're well-coached, they believe in themselves and their system. They force their will upon their opponents. Nothing fancy, but well executed.
