Notre Dame has kicked one of the players off the team and another suspended indefinitely for getting caught with pot and an unlicensed gun.
Compare this with Saban's approach, which was to issue a sneering attack against the police force of Louisiana.Comment

The Louisiana justice system is notoriously corrupt (per Nick Saban) and blatant bribery from UAT boosters played no small role. The DA now drives a car almost as nice as your typical UAT player.

Further, there were 6 players arrested at ND. Two seperate incidents. One player (Butler) at a bar tackled, slammed to the ground, punched, and removed the gun belt of a cop. He was the one suspended.

The St. Joseph County prosecutor's office said Butler faced possible charges of resisting law enforcement and battery to a police officer, both felonies. Butler was being held at the county jail on $10,000 surety bond.
But Prosecutor Kenneth P. Cotter said in a statement Saturday that he's seeking court approval for additional time to investigate the case so that his office can "determine whether formal charges are appropriate."
The officer Butler allegedly attacked was taken to a hospital for treatment for minor injuries, including a sore wrist, South Bend police spokesman Galea said.
If it is a felony, the "suspension" becomes a dismissal. Interesting that the DA is looking to see if he can drop the charge, heh. Wonder if Kelly gets scorn for this like Saban did. Ahhh, just filled up my DVR "to do" list with the first weekend's games. My first ritual of the season. Grabbing 7 games the first Saturday plus the two big ones on Sunday and Monday.

I'm sure the SEC, I mean CFB will change the rules again to limit which days satellite camps are allowed so Harbaugh won't be able to have anywhere near 30 camps.Comment
